Match Details:
Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals – IPL (4th match)
9th April 2018
Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad

Venue:
The Hyderabad stadium is relatively new having not hosted many international matches. The IPL has shown that it is a good track for batting and the pitch slows down as the match progresses.

Preview:
Rajasthan Royals make a return to the IPL after 2 years with a trip to Hyderabad to face the 2016 IPL winners. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their top scorer, David Warner, while the Royals lost the Australian captain, Steve Smith, just before the start of the tournament.

The Royals departed from their usual philosophy of being miserly at the auction with the signing of two of the most expensive players – Ben Stokes and Jaydev Unadkat. Big Bash superstars D’Arcy Short and Jofra Archer were roped in, while Ajinkya Rahane was announced as their captain.

The Hyderabad outfit replaced Warner with English power hitter Alex Hales while naming New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson as their captain for this season. Their bowling department is led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Afghan sensation Rashid Khan.

Both teams would like to start off with a win and aim for the title this season.

Top point scorers
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Shikhar Dhawan (343 points): In Warner’s absence, the onus will be on Shikhar Dhawan to get the majority of the runs for the team. The Southpaw is in a rich vein of form and is expected to carry the momentum into the IPL.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar (336.5 points): India’s leading bowler and last season’s Purple Cap holder will be the mainstay for the Sunrisers. Last season’s 26-wicket haul boosted Bhuvi’s overall IPL tally to 111 wickets in 90 matches.

Rajasthan Royals
Ben Stokes (377 points): The English all-rounder was named the Player of the Tournament in his debut season, where he represented Rising Pune Supergiants. He has bagged 12 wickets in as many matches while scoring over 300 runs at an average of 31.6.

Jaydev Unadkat (333 points): The left-arm pacer will join his Pune teammate Ben Stokes at Rajasthan Royals this season. In the 2017 edition, Unadkat averaged 2 wickets per match while bowling at a healthy economy of 7 runs per over.

Player to Avoid
Stuart Binny (RR) @ 8 credits

With Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer assured of a starting spot, the Indian all-rounder is unlikely to make the playing XI for the match. It is suggested you avoid picking Stuart Binny in your teams.
An important member of Pune’s run to the final in 2017, Rahul Tripathi is a dependable option in your Dream11 team. The youngster did not show any signs of nervousness in his debut season by smashing 391 runs in 14 matches.
