IPL 2018 Points Table updated; with purple and orange cap holder infos

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have topped the IPL 2018 points table after their win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) today, being tied at 8 points with Kings XI Punjab but ahead on net run rate.


Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) are languishing at the bottom with two points each.

Below is the updated IPL 2018 Points Table :


Orange Cap Holder:

After Match 21 (MI vs RR), Sanju Samson of RR is the leading run scorer (orange cap holder) of IPL 2018, having scored 239 runs in six innings at an average of 47.8 and a strike rate of 150.3.

Purple Cap Holder:

Sunil Narine (KKR) is the leading wicket-taker (purple cap holder), having taken 8 wickets in six matches at an average of 19.12 and economy of 6.95.

The Indian Premier League has eight teams in its 11th edition with each team playing the other twice in a home-and-away format in the league stages. At the end of the league stage, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs with the top two playing each other in the Qualifier 1. The winner goes to the final while the loser plays Qualifier 2. The third and fourth team play the Eliminator with the winner playing the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2. The winner of Qualifier 2 will play the final against winner of Qualifier 1.
