3 Uncapped India cricketers who can get call-ups for T20 World Cup

As this is the year of ICC T20 World Cup, there are lots to look forward to the Indian Premier League 2020. The Indian team under the leadership of Virat Kohli has been trying to put together pieces of the jigsaw puzzle to get the right combination. There some players who could make it to the World Cup with strong performances in the upcoming IPL.

Here's a list of 3 Uncapped India cricketers who can get call-ups for T20 World Cup:

1. Ravi Bishnoi

A mystery spinner at the T20 World Cup is something which India would love to have. Ravi Bishnoi, the 19-year-old leg-spinner, fits that bracket quite nicely. At the recently concluded U-19 Cricket World Cup, Bishnoi foxed every batsman who batted against him. Picking up 17 wickets from six matches, Bishnoi became quite popular in the cricket circles overnight. He has been picked up by Kings XI Punjab for INR 2.0 crores for the IPL 2020. If he again standouts at the marquee league, there are chances that Bishnoi could be on the plane to Australia, with Virat Kohli and co.

2. Devdutt Paddikal

If you have followed the domestic season in Indian cricket since 2019, it is not possible that you haven't heard the name of Devdutt Paddikal. The left-handed batsman from Karnataka was the star of the team with the bat in the last season. During the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, the 19-year-old stuck 580 runs at an average of 64.4. His strike rate was an astonishing 176 during the tournament.

The man who hasn't set a foot wrong in white-ball cricket was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2020. It is likely that he will get opportunities this year, unlike the 2019 season where he spent the entire season warming benches. A great IPL followed by a fantastic domestic season could well open the doors of the Indian team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020.

3. Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna has been a find of the Indian Premier League. After debuting for Karnataka, the tall pacer went off the grid a little bit before Kolkata Knight Riders brought him back to the limelight. He has since then gone onto become a regular feature in the Karnataka side and also represented India A. After the T20I series win against Sri Lanka earlier this year, captain Virat Kohli had talked about having a surprise package on for the World Cup. “I think there'll one player who will be a surprise package. Prasidh Krishna is someone who has bowled really well in domestic cricket”, Kohli said. With high praises from the Indian captain, Krishna can expect a call-up for the national side anytime soon.
