Things are taking shift turn, when it comes to developments happening between BCCI and PCB, as BCCI being one of the richest cricket board in the world have already expressed their message to ICC(International Cricket Council) stating not to keep Indian Team in the same group with Pakistan Cricket team.
This is a massive development as we have seen ICC always keeping India and Pakistan in the same group especially in ICC event due to commerce angles, where tickets get sold at quick pace.
So not keeping India and Pakistan in the same group, would give perfect happiness to all Indian people who categorically denied, not playing against Pakistan especially after Pahalgam incident where 22 innocent Indians were Killed in Kashmir on April 22nd 2025 by terrorist backed by Pakistan.
The stern response from BCCI should be widely appreciated as few days back they have expressed their thought process, towards Asia Cup where they have systematically decided to pull out their teams in Emerging Women’s Asia Cup and Asia Cup in 2025 to be played in September which was supposed to be played in T20I format.
With India backing from Asia Cup would simply hamper, chances of Sponsors not getting on board, as 90% sponsors will be brought by Indian market.
Rest of the teams will be focused on bringing remaining sponsors on the board.
Indian Cricket Board decision of not playing in the same group, with Pakistan would certainly dim down commerce angle but nothing can be bigger than Nation, so everything become secondary when it comes to Nation.
Indian Cricket Team is currently playing IPL, next they would be playing India-England series, as mark as resumption of World Test Championship Cycle which would begun from 2025 which will end in 2027.
Indian team is undergoing transitions, especially after the retirement of Kohli- Rohit so new team needs to be stand up and make it the most out of all scenarios.
The Indian Cricket Team, will be inching next edition of World Test Championship cycle especially after Champions Trophy 2025 where they won that marquee event.
