Things are getting sour between BCCI( Board of Control for Cricket in India) and PCB(Pakistan Cricket Board) as these two cricketing giants would not face each other in Asia Cup to be scheduled in the month of September.
As per latest development, Pakistan Cricket Board is already gearing up for preparations related to Upcoming Asia Cup as they have already scheduled tri-series among UAE and Afghanistan.
The possible reason for allowing UAE is based on the fact that, in case marquee event shift towards neutral venue, in UAE.
Based on latest development, Asia Cup would be played on Neutral venue, considering all permutations and combinations, it seems that India and Pakistan won’t play against each other in the Upcoming marquee event.
BCCI have already communicated to Asian Cricket Council(ACC), President Mohsin Naqvi, where he stated ” BCCI under current scenario, would not be playing against PCB, going forward and the Upcoming Asia Cup will not held”
The Board of Control for Cricket in India have expressed in the letter stated to ICC where he said “They have already communicated with ICC, that don’t keep India and Pakistan in the same group in Next year ICC events” keeping all commercial angle and viewership in mind.
Pakistani Sports Media who have said good things about Pakistani Cricket board self sustainability, and bold approach and everything has backfired now, as the board is looking to play Tri Series to gear up for Asia Cup.
If there is no Indian Cricket team, in Asian Cup the kind of buzz and anticipation which is expected to build is no more there.
