The Asia Cup 2025 Trophy would be one of the biggest talking point in the cricketing domain, where India despite winning the title didn’t went upstairs to collect their trophy from Pakistani Interior Minister who also held the post of Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi.
The Indian team collected some trophies but didn’t went on stage to collect winners medals and trophies.
Post that saga, there have been controversy going all around, where statements are being released from both countries media where Indian Media claiming that “Naqvi have apologised but demanded Indian players to visit at ACC office to collect medals and trophies ”
However Naqvi himself posted on X clarifying his stance where he said “All the claims from Indian Media that I have aplogized is not right, I have not apologized at all and I am still ready to handover trophy to Asia Cup winners but they need to visit our office and collect trophies and medals in ACC headquarters in Dubai”
The biggest question arises, why Naqvi is so adamant when it comes to giving trophy to winners which they rightfully deserve doesn’t make any sense at all it is simple case to prove his patriotism but as cricket board chairman he must rightfully asked his players and management staff on what is not working right for Pakistan cricket why team is losing matches back to back.
Considering all the permutations and combinations and keeping the real picture all we could say that Pakistan current team is playing third class cricket and certainly fallen in Tier 2 and Tier 3 level team.
The way they are playing if it goes on, they would fall at the level of other bottom ranked teams including the likes of- West Indies, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
With Afghanistan not qualifying for Super 4, things were not difficult for India to retain title.
Two teams unlikely-Oman and Sri Lanka gave team India tough time on two occasions in Asia Cup 2025 but at the end of the day India came out strong to win this contest.
