The Indian Women’s Cricket Team has achieved brilliant feat where they have defeated England women’s Cricket team by 3-1 with one match left to go in this series.
India’s current skipper Harmanpreet Kaur credited entire team and Women’s Premier League for pulling scentallating performance against Three Lions.
The series played in T20I format with last match still to go but the way Indian team has performed should be credited for the way they defeated England women’s team.
With her fourth T20I appearance, Harmanpreet Kaur joins the list of playing all time most matches playing the same number of matches with Mithali Raj.
Harmanpreet Kaur have played 333 International matches for India which in itself is the Joint Highest number of matches played by her equalling Mithali Raj.
With one more match to go, she would become the player to play most matches for Indian women’s team in all three formats of the game.
The 36 year old made debut for Indian women’s team on March 7th 2009.

She has been seasoned all rounder for India in all three formats for India and deserve praise for replicating the same consistency over the years.
Talking about how things unfolded in 4th T20I between India vs England to be shared in the below format:
1. England opted to bat first after winning the toss in 4th T20I, where they managed to score 126 runs In response Indian team chased down that total in 17 overs losing 4 wickets only .
2. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur contributed with bat where she scored 26 runs.
3. When it comes to India’s bowling performance, Radha Yadav and Shreyanka Patil both clinched 2 wickets each, who ensured that English batter don’t score bulk of runs.
4. When we see batting performance from Indian team, Smirti Mandhana and Shefali Verma deserve credit for their brilliant opening batting partnership where these two together stiched 60+ runs on first wicket where Mandhanna scored 32 runs and Verma scored 31 runs.
5. Jemimah Rodriques also did well when it comes to chasing, where she managed to score unbeaten 24 runs in order to ensure that women in blue cross the line.
6. The victory gave a series lead to Women in Blue where they have managed to win 4th T20I and lead series by 3-1 with the last match to be held on July 12th at Edbaston, up next they would be up against each other for ODI Series.
“For us to do well in this series credit should be given entire players along with Women’s Premier League where all the girls get a chance to spend dressing room with some of the best players in the business and these girls have also learnt how to handle pressure as the moment those situations arises you Know how to react in those conditions based on muscle memory” said Kaur after winning series against England.
There have been constant criticism on Indian women’s team for not winning major series and ICC events despite all the facilities being provided to them in order in that direction this win against England would give immense joy and confidence to entire women’s team.
