The moment they have lost the toss against England in 4th test match, Indian Openers played slowly made sure that Men in Blue scored more than 80+ runs for 1st wicket ultimately KL Rahul whose wicket was clinched by Chris Woakes.
Later Sai Sudharshan came on the crease and he joined Jaiswal in the middle but the later after scoring half centuries, succumbed and thrown away his wicket to Dawson who is making his return in International Cricket after the period of 8 years.
Then comes Captain Gill, who looked little deviated after first 2 matches where he scored more than 600+ runs in 1st two test whereas in coming matches he failed to capitalize further to score more runs.
Rishabh Pant as Vice Captain again did wonders after getting bruised on first day scored more than half century after getting dismissed.
Little contribution from other batters ensured that India scored 358 runs whereas England at the time of writing have scored 357 runs at the loss of 4 wickets whereas Joe Root scored 81 runs from 143 balls complemented by Ben Stokes scored 3 runs from 4 balls.
However India’s batting approach have been criticized where they should have batted brilliantly, and scored at highest run rate rather than wasting too much time on the crease.
The Credit should be given to England Captain and leader Ben Stokes who is possibly the best bowler for them where he picked six wickets.
His inspiring leadership played an important role making sure they stay ahead of curve against India.
Barring this Test match, India have displayed exceptional cricket and given tough time to opposition however they lost some important moments in the game and currently they are trailing behind the series by 1-2.
Based on how England is playing it seems that India have already lost this match until and unless some miracle take place.
The 5 match series between India vs England have been renamed as Tendulkar- Anderson trophy and the one who will finish as Most Valuable Player of the Series will get Pataudi Medal.
