He didn’t disappointed at all where he has amassed so far more than 700+ runs against England in 5 match Test series.
He deserve all the credit for the way he batted as he was batting at number 4th place which in itself is not an easy spot to fill considering Virat Kohli’s retirement who have occupied this place for years.
Gill also deserve credit for his brilliant captaincy and showcasing his instinct whenever it was needed.
Gradually Gill and Sudharshan have batted cautiously while the time of rain coming into play India were batting on 72 runs at the loss of 2 wickets.
A wicket each have been clinched by Gus Atkinson and Chris Woakes.
Once the play resume, India needs to see off some deliveries and then start counter attacking as considering weather complementing brilliant the greener surface where we can see swift seam and swing it won’t be easy for any batters to score runs in these conditions however the one who will sustain pressure and showcase patience will certainly have an upper edge over others.
The five match series between India vs England have been iconic based on the way hard fought contest was played in the middle and both teams deserve credit for showing brilliant competition in the middle.
The Tendulkar-Anderson trophy will conclude on August 4th if India manages to win this last game and level this series against England it would be iconic series in itself as no one gave this young team a chance so if they can prove others wrong nothing better than this for sure.
