Let’s dwell on chances of Top 6 teams to be shared in two distinct format either Statistically chances and Non Statistically chances to be shared in the below format:

IPL 2025 Playoffs Race: KKR Almost Out, LSG Must Step on and Act now:

The battle for spot in the top four has heated up as the IPL 2025 league stage approaches its conclusion. While some clubs are fighting for their lives, others have already displayed excellent play and nearly secured their postseason berths. Sadly, the Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) chances of qualifying are all but gone.

IPL, Indian Premier League, KKR, Kolkata Knight Riders The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), on the other hand, still have remote chance but must move quickly. Let’s put it in plain language.

KKR – Slipping Away from the Top 4

KKR had high expectations going into the season, but things didn’t work out as planned. Both bowling and batting have been inconsistent for them.

Despite some brilliant performances by players like Sunil Nariane, Andre Russell, and Ajinkya Rahane, the club was unable to generate enough momentum.

They have suffered greatly as result of their poor net run rate (NRR) and losses in crucial games.

With just few games remaining and low point total, KKR will now need to perform miracle, not only to win every game left but also to rely on other outcomes to go their way.

In all likelihood, they will not make it to the playoffs.

In anticipation of better rebuild, fans are already looking forward to the upcoming season.

They have been winner of last year IPL, somehow as a team they have failed to gather strength together and win matches on regular basis.

LSG – Still in the Race, But Need Urgency

Although they are in stronger position than KKR, the Lucknow Super Giants still face challenges.

This season, they have displayed flashes of strong play, but they haven’t been as consistent as elite squads led by Rishabh Pant. But it has been difficult for them to find comfortable place because of their inconsistencies.

LSG currently has two tasks to complete: Win every game they have left. Increase their Net Run Rate considerably. The performance of the teams above them must also be monitored.

Even LSG’s greatest efforts might not be sufficient if those teams keep winning.

But LSG needs to maintain its motivation and persevere through the entire process, as long as the math is feasible.

Lucknow Super Giants management should ease down a bit and let players take the call, we have seen owner Sanjiv Goenka being too much invested in every match but expressing emotions on the field irrespective of win/loss will make other players wary that they didn’t want to play for this franchise.

The management needs to calm down a bit and let the players who are part of coaching staff and leader take the call otherwise it will make them feel suffocating for sure.

These thought process needs to change otherwise Lucknow Super Giants will never win IPL title.

What they did to Kl Rahul was wrong, they must have treated later with absolute faith and believe, as he is India player and the emotions were seen on Rahul’s face when he won match for delhi didn’t even bothered to shake hands properly with LSG Owner Sanjiv Goenka.

Watching Possible Playoffs Spot and Top 2 from Neutral Angle:

In order to judge who will make into Top 4 and Top 2 let me share the updated points table to be shared in the below format:

Team Matches Won Games Points with NRR
GT 11 8 16 points(+0.793)
RCB 11 8 16 points(+0.482)
PBKS 11 7 15 points(+0.376)
MI 12 6 14 points(+1.156)
DC 11 6 13 points(+0.362)
KKR 12 5 11 points(+0.193)
LSG 11 5 10 points(-0.469)
SRH 11 3 7 points(-1.192)
RR 12 3 6 points(-0.718)
CSK 12 3 6 points(-0.992)

The one marked in Black are in contention to reach at IPL 2025 playoffs and the ones in red are in danger only the ones in the form of Lucknow Super Giants could be pushed into Top 4 all they need to do is win remaining games with Good margin otherwise losing one more game and they are done and dusted in the game.

When you look at Top 2 spot considering current points table and less number of matches in retrospect to other teams, only Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans would be make into Top 2 of Points Table.

Considering the Kind of cricket RCB and GT is playing they have absolutely dominated to other team they deserve Top 2 spot and considering the current context of IPL, team who stand at the Top 2 spot, will get two chances even if they lose Qualifier 1 and they can bounce back in Qualifier 2 and once you win that you can still beat eliminator winner and make ito to the final.

These two teams along with Mumbai Indians look rock solid, to be in Top 3 spot, and considering from emotional perspective, RCB is the only team out of these three lot, they haven’t won single IPL title.

They haven’t won single IPL title in all 18 editions held so far so they would be eagerly looking to lift the title.

IPL is at the penultimate stage where teams languishing at middle tier would have play their A game on the table in order to emerge winner of this contest.

Due to Operation Sindhoor, Match between Mumbai and Punjab to be played in Dharmshala have been shifted due to security reasons, instead Mumbai will be place where these two teams will compete against each other.

However rest of the matches is yet to be played where league stage will be concluded on 17th May 2025 where the playoffs will begun later and the final will be played on 25th May 2025.

You can catch all the actions live on Star Sports channel and the same will be streamed on Jio hotstar app.
