India’s Next Test Captain Shubhman Gill is up against the biggest challenge of his career, where he would be leading Team India against England for five match Test Series.
Talking about the latest development, they will be heading the series start on 20th June 2025, where the series wont be easy for Gill and Company as conditions in England is not favorable at all.
Former India Legendary Captain Anil Kumble stated while talking to distinct media outlets “Give some time to Shubhman Gill he is young captain and the series wont be easy for him. It would be too much to ask from him. I have full faith in his leadership he will do well and communicate with players about their possible roles on how they need to express themselves in the middle”.
“I think captaincy for India is slightly different challenge as compare to leading any franchise, as it comes with its own pressures and responsibilities. I am sure Shubhman Gill will figure out and I think he is capable. They all are capable, you have seen the kind of cricket they have played I am confident they will go up the ladder” said Kumble.
India’s Next series against England will mark the resumption of next World Test Championship cycle for 2025-2027 edition.
If India somehow manages to beat England on their conditions, it would be treat for fans.
The challenges imposed by England in their own conditions is second to none should be tackled brilliantly.
Team India players are currently busy in IPL and they would be next gearing up for Test series.
