IPL 2025: Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru- Head-to-Head, Stats, and Predicted Playing 11

The IPL 2025 is gearing up for an interesting Friday night, as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings are set to play match number 34 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. With two back-to-back games lined up for both teams against each other itself, the RCB and PBKS franchises will look to make the most of their clash in their favour.

As of now the RCB camp is placed at No. 3 on the points table, while the men from PBKS find themselves at No. 4, next to each other. Both the teams have four wins and two defeats after playing six games each. However, RCB’s net run rate is slightly better than the Punjab squad. With their wins in their previous outings, both the sides will be entering the game tonight with some high energy and confidence. RCB had chased down a 174-run target against the Rajasthan Royals in their last game. Phil Salt and Virat Kohli were the leading batsmen who scored runs for their side. Krunal Pandya was impressive with his bowling too.

Meanwhile, PBKS created history in their last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders as they defended a 112-run target in an unbelievable game of cricket. The lowest score being defended, skipper Shreyas Iyer playing against his former team, and Yuzvendra Chahal reeling his spin magic – it was a glorious night for the men in red.

As per statistics, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have not been able to win a single IPL trophy, though they have reached the finals three times. Similarly, Punjab Kings too are yet to win an IPL title and were runners-up in the IPL 2014 season.
So far, the sides have faced each other in 33 matches in the IPL history. Out of these games, RCB have won 16 times whereas PBKS have been meritorious on 17 occasions.

Game Condition:
With the match being held at RCB’s home venue, they certainly will have the home advantage and the massive fanbase cheering for their favourites.
Looking at the present situation and previous records, chasing seems like a better option at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Both games this season at the iconic venue have been won by the chasing teams.
With short boundaries at this ground, it is one of the most batting-friendly pitches. A potential dew factor could play a role in the second innings and make batting easier.
