BCCI Women New Contract: Harman, Smriti, Deepti retained Grade A Contract

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, held an annual general meeting where variety of discussions were held around taking steps to improve Women’s Cricket.

The meeting was held for deciding Roadmap of Women’s Cricket in the Country along with players who will fall in distinct Grade to be shared in the below format:

Before we dive deep, some of the big star women players including the likes of- Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Yadav have been included in Grade A Contract.

The biggest reason would be impeccable consistency to deliver in all three format of the game.

Grade B: Renuka Thakur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Shafali Verma

Grade C: Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur,Uma Chetry, Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar.

All the players failing in Category A would be paid 50 Lakh per match fee.

Players falling in Grade B and C will receive 30 Lakh and 10 Lakh respectively.

Indian Women’s Team need to gear up for the Women’s ODI World Cup which is stated to be held in the country later this year so its imperative that Indian Women’s Cricket team deliver despite having all the resources at their disposal.

The Tournament like WPL(Women’s Premier League) irrespective of formats would be keen to deliver for India as the marquee event like WPL helps them to share dressing room probably with the best in the business.

Indian Women’s ODI team would be looking to win Title under brilliant leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur who successfully won WPL twice but failed to win any major tournament for the country.
