Apart from him, Tilak scored 111 runs on 193 balls. Captain Mayank Agarwal scored 56 runs with the help of 8 fours. Mayank and Singh added 125 runs for the first wicket. Shaswat Rawat scored an unbeaten 64 runs.
Earlier, India D chose bowling first by winning the toss against India A. India A scored 290 runs in the first innings. Shams Mulani (89) and Tanush Kotian (53) hit a half-century for the team. Harshit Rana took 4 wickets. Vidhwath Kaverappa and Arshdeep Singh took 2–2 wickets. Saransh Jain and Saurabh Kumar got 1-1 wickets.
India D went all-out on 183 runs in response to 290 runs. Devdutt Padikkal scored the most 92 runs from the team. Khalil Ahmed and Aqib Khan took 3-3 wickets for India A.

New format of the Duleep Trophy
The Duleep Trophy has been played in the new format since this season. It used to be in zonal format earlier. Now the top players of domestic cricket have been divided into four teams. The tournament will be played in round-robin format without a knockout match. The team with the most points at the end of round-robin matches will be the champion.
