Just two days after the start of one of the most significant competitions in women’s cricket in South Africa, the first-ever Women Premier League auction is scheduled for Monday, February 13. The T20 World Cup 2023 will feature women’s cricket, while the WPL 2023 will be played in India. A total of 409 players are scheduled to be auctioned off on Monday, according to the most recent information from BCCI. It’s noteworthy that 1525 players signed up for the WPL auction in Mumbai today, which is interesting.
The WPL auction starts from 2.30pm today on Sports18 and JioCinema.

The Women’s Premier League’s top bracket will be set at Rs. 50 lakhs. Among the many stars in that group are India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and ace opener Smriti Mandhana. The inaugural Women’s Premier League 2023 season will feature matches between five WPL teams. The groups are Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, Gujarat Giants, and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Although, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur looks very much excited for the WPL Auction . Recently BCCI shared a video in which Harmanpreet said ‘I think this will be a game change, not just for India but for the world also and we are excited for this.’ This will bring new beginnings to the world of cricket. Total no. of teams to play in the tournament are 5 and in a total of 409 players (246 Indian and 163 overseas) are set to go under the hammer.
